Moving Van started with a simple belief: that people deserve a moving company they can actually trust. One that shows up prepared, communicates honestly, and treats every home and every customer with genuine respect.
What began as a small operation has grown into a full-service moving company serving the greater Middle Tennessee area. We handle residential moves, packing services, and select commercial work — and we bring the same standard to all of it. Careful hiring, deliberate training, and a team that takes pride in doing the work properly.
Growth, to us, isn't about speed. It's about building something worth being proud of — a company our team wants to work for and a service our customers feel confident recommending. That's the standard we've always held ourselves to, and it's the one we continue to build on.
About Van Gallik
Moving Van wasn't part of the plan. Its founder will be the first to tell you that.
He stumbled into the moving industry in his early twenties while working a string of part-time jobs in Knoxville. A Craigslist ad led to a phone call, and the next day he was moving furniture for a small local company. He took to the work quickly, earned the trust of his employer, and within a year was leading crews of his own. Along the way, he was encouraged to start something of his own, and in 2012, Moving Van was born. The name was simple, a little tongue-in-cheek, and it fit. At the time, it was just a side hustle.
In 2016 he relocated to Nashville to be closer to family, landing in one of the fastest-growing cities in the country without fully realizing the opportunity he had created for himself. When his other pursuits ran their course, the path forward became clear. In 2019, Moving Van became his sole focus.
Since then, he's built a team he trusts, developed systems that support consistent quality, and continued to raise the standard for what a moving company can be. He's proud of the repeat and referral business that has followed Moving Van from the beginning - a reflection of the customer-first approach that has guided every decision along the way.
