Booking Your Move
How do you determine the cost of a move?
Every estimate is based on the actual scope of your move, including what needs to be moved, access at each location, and the overall scope of work involved. To build accurate estimates, we take the time to ask the right questions and, whenever possible, actually see the items involved in the move through an in-home or virtual walkthrough. We do not quote best-case scenarios just to win the job. Our goal is to give you a realistic understanding of what to expect before moving day.
Why do some moving estimates vary so much?
Not all moving estimates are built the same way. Some companies provide quick estimates based on limited information, while others take more time to ask questions, understand the details of the move, and actually see what is being moved through an in-home or virtual walkthrough. Our goal is to build estimates around realistic expectations so you have a clearer understanding of what to expect on moving day.
Why are in-home or virtual walkthroughs important?
Walkthroughs help us better understand the scope, layout, access, inventory, and overall logistics of a move. The more information we have upfront, the more accurate and helpful your estimate will typically be.
Our Moving Services
How far in advance should I book my move?
The earlier, the better, especially during busy seasons and around the beginning or end of the month. Even if you are still finalizing details, reaching out early gives you a better chance of securing your preferred moving dates and allows more time for planning.
What happens on moving day?
Your crew will arrive within the scheduled arrival window, complete a walkthrough of the home with you, confirm the moving plan, and begin preparing and loading items for transport. Throughout the move, your Crew Leader will remain your primary point of contact for questions, updates, and coordination.
Will my furniture be wrapped and protected?
Yes. Furniture is typically pad-wrapped and protected before being loaded onto the truck. Floor protection, door protection, and other protective measures may also be used depending on the layout and needs of the move.
How long do moves usually take?
Every move is different depending on the size of the home, access conditions, preparation level, amount of packing, and overall scope of work involved. Our estimates are designed to provide a realistic expectation based on the details available before moving day.
What happens if something is damaged during the move?
We take the care of your home and belongings seriously and use professional moving techniques to help protect both throughout the move. If an issue does arise, we address it directly and honestly. Accountability and clear communication are part of doing the job the right way. Additional valuation coverage options are also available if you would like added peace of mind during your move.
What valuation options are available?
Moves include standard released value protection coverage, with additional valuation coverage options also available for customers seeking additional protection. Your estimate will outline the valuation options available for your move.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, e-checks, and cash payments. Credit card payments, excluding the deposit, are subject to a processing fee. Payment is due upon completion of the move unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Is tipping movers expected?
Like any service, a tip is not expected but definitely appreciated. A common tipping guideline is around $5 to $10 per hour, per mover, depending on the level of service provided and the overall scope of the move.
Do you offer junk removal or disposal services?
We do not offer junk removal or trash haul-away services. In some situations, we may be able to help transport items for donation, but advance notice is important so we can properly plan for the time, truck space, and logistics involved. If you have items you would like donated, just ask during the estimate process and we will let you know what may be possible.
Do you handle moves outside of Nashville?
Yes. While Nashville is home base, we regularly help customers throughout Tennessee with residential, commercial, packing, and labor-only moving services. If your move starts or ends in Middle Tennessee, there is a good chance we can help. Moving out of state? We can often assist with that as well.
